5/9/11
I was lazy this weekend and didn't get my laundry done. So I decided to do it today. When I went to get change from the change machine, my dollar got stuck. I went back home and I wrote a sticky note that said: Out of order, Dollar stuck inside. I stuck it on the change machine. I then left to go break my $10 bill. (the change and vending machine don't take $10s.) I came back and I got a 25cent mini candy bar. The vending machine gave me $4.75 in quarters back. I started my clothes washing, and left. I came back a half an hour later, and the repairman guy (I am almost 100% sure it was the same guy who had come over and helped with the wet spot on the floor in front of Amy's bed.) had seen the note and had gotten my dollar out and stuck it and my note by my stuff on the washing machine. :) It was just a small little deed, he probably didn't even think twice about, but to me it meant so much more! (I won't put why it meant so much to me, but know it meant more than I can even express.) I am so glad that God puts people who are so thoughtful and kind on this earth like this guy (who is so much like my mentor from my first semester of College.). The moral of this experience? Little deeds, whether they mean anything to the person giving them, may mean much more to the person receiving them. Thank You for that small, but meaningful deed for me. It just made my day! :)
